The Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge performance is a collection of teaching tales on self-respect and respect to others and the world around us. The tales come from Latin America, Native America and Europe. Hobey will bring the tales to life using a wide range of puppetry styles, including shadow puppetry, rod puppetry, Bunraku, and his own "foamies" style.

Winner of puppetry's highest honor, the UNIMA Citation of Excellence, and recipient of three Jim Henson Foundation grants, Hobey Ford is known for excellence in puppetry performance and craft. The Jim Henson Foundation calls Hobey Ford's performances "Exceptional." Hobey is from Ashville, North Carolina.

Author of The Art of Racing in the Rain

Anyone who loves dogs (and/or race car driving) will love this program. Enzo, named after the famed automobile maker Enzo Ferrari, will leave an indelible mark on your soul as he tells the story of his life with his human family on the eve of his death.

Enjoy an evening with the author of this heartwarming tale. Garth Stein is the author of two novels, How Evan Broke His Head and Other Secrets, winner of a 2006 PNBA Book Award, and Raven Stole the Moon. He makes his home in Seattle with his wife, three sons, and his dog, Comet.

Books will be available for purchase and signing. Proceeds will benefit DAWS.

The Danbury Animal Welfare Society, Inc. (DAWS) is a non-profit, volunteerrun organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our community and beyond.

Free. No registration.
