One Book, One Lake: A Summer Reading
Program July 2009
The public libraries of the five towns that surround
Candlewood Lake - Danbury, New Fairfield, Sherman, New Milford
and Brookfield - have planned a series of events
related to Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods, his
humorous and fascinating book about his attempt to hike the
Appalachian Trail. The title was chosen since a portion of the
famous trail traverses the northwest corner of
Connecticut.
Join us as we celebrate this book and bring awareness to
the Lake and our natural surroundings with several weeks of
programs and activities for the entire family. Visit onebookonelake.org for
full details and
information. |
