Need ideas on having a Gaming Night

imagefrgame_150pix.jpg

I need some feedback. Would anyone be interested in a gamming night. Setting this up and how to structure it is not as easy as it might appear.

What I need for you to do is let me know that you are interested. Also, tell me some of the games you would like to play and perhaps how you would like to see the program set up. Just email me, Dymphna Harrigan, Teen Librarian, or make your comments right here on the blog. Thanks..

Valentine Program for Teens

ducttaperoses_200pix.jpg On Saturday, February 10th I am having a Valentine Craft Workshop. A local artist Katie Stevenson will bring all the supplies and guide you through the process. You can make duct tape roses, a wrist band, or something else to surprise a special someone.

As always, the program is free, but registration is required. Please call the Junior Library (797-4528) to register. If you would prefer to email me you may, but if you don't get a confirmation back, please call. Hope to see you there.

Danbury Library Teen Players

SomeCast_200pix.jpg I talked about this before. On March 17th the Teen Council is going to perform the play, The Bookworm, for 2-5 year olds. The picture to the left is a scene from the 2001 production.

If you go to the "Join Us" page of TeenZone and ckick on "play" you can see the script. Tryouts will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at 6:00 p.m. and on Friday, January 26th at 3:00. Anyone interested in joining Teen Council and being part of this project should call (797-4528) or email Mrs. Harrigan

Nutmeg Voting Begins

vote_100pix.jpg

January is Nutmeg Book Award Voting Month. Middle school students can vote for your favorite Nutmeg teen title in Danbury Library or your School Media Center. Have you decided which is the one you liked best? This and the Teens Top Ten are the only two book awards where you make the final decision. So exercise your right, and vote! If you can't make it into the Library, email me with your name, grade, school, and favorite title. I'll fill out the form for you. Click here to see all the nominated titles.
