Express Yourself

teenink.jpeg

Many of you are writing stories, poetry and novels. I am sending you a link to TeenInk for anyone who does not know how to get their work published. Also, you can checkout what other teens are writing. There is a copy of Teen Ink in the magazine section of the Young Adult area on the second floor.

Don’t be shy. Share your talent.

March Book Discussion

pirates_150pix.jpg At the February, Talk It Up Book Discussion, we had a great dialogue about Eragon. The next discussion is Thursday, March 1st from 6:30 to 7:30 in the LTC Conference Room. We will be discussing Pirates by Celia Rees. This swashbuckling adventure is a great pirate story. If you are interested in joining us, please call (797-4528) or stop by the library to sign up.

At the February meeting, we decided to discuss Eldest, Inheritance Book 2, by Christopher Paolini at the April book discussion.

Also, put a hold on either Pirates or Eldest as soon as possible so you will have time to read the book before the discussion.

New in This Month

foreverinblue_150pix.jpg There are a lot of new books for February. Pictured left is the book cover to Forever in blue: the fourth summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares.

There are some good books on this list. I suggest you look at Nailed by Patrick Jones and Shock Point by April Henry. I have received a lot of good feedback about these books. You may notice that there are books that are old and not newly published. These are new to us, they most likely are to replace old copies.
