Paper Towns begins one month before Quentin "Q" Jacobsen's graduation from Central Flordia high school where he basks in the predictable boringness of his life until the beautiful and exciting Margo Roth Spiegelman, Q's neighbor and classmate, takes him on a midnight adventure and then mysteriously disappears.

The Time Quake is the third part of the Gideon trilogy by Linda Buckley-Archer. In this book, the sinister Lord Luxon makes himself at home in twenty-first century Manhattan, Peter and Kate, aided by Gideon, pursue The Tar Man through the streets of eighteenth-century London, when history is at its tipping point.

Paper Towns looks really interesting, if only for its name. Though John Green sounds like John Updike, which makes me "slanty face" a little like this-
