The Danbury Library is proud to announce the opening of its newest services, the IMAC Digital Design Center and Digital Petting Zoo.  The Digital Design Center will provide a new, fully loaded IMAC for those wishing to produce high-quality design pieces for personal or business use and the Digital Petting Zoo will provide library visitors with the opportunity to try out a variety of technological devices in the library.

The Digital Design Center IMAC includes a 21.5” screen, 16 gigs of memory, 512mb NVIDIA graphics card, 112-TB Fusion drive and runs OS X - version 10.8.5.  It features Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium which includes: Illustrator, Acrobat InDesign, Photoshop, Flash, Fireworks, and Dreamweaver.  Users may print their projects or save their work to their flashdrive.  Those who would like to print their work may do so at a minimal charge.  Available print sizes range from 8” x 11” to 11” x 17”.  There is no charge to use the computer but it is first come, first served.  Library Technology Center staff will be able to provide some assistance but it is recommended that users be familiar with the software.

“We are very excited to be able to offer this new service.  We hope that designers, photographers, musicians, artists and writers will take advantage of it,” said Sondra Grossi, Manager, Senior Computer Technician of the Library Technology Center.  “If someone would like to learn more about Adobe products before heading in to the library they can go online to http://tv.adobe.com
