The average American generates about 1,400 pounds of garbage a year. What most of us disregard as trash, Dr. Robin Nagle studies as important matter that may reveal a great deal about our world and its future. NYU professor and New York City’s anthropologist-in-residence with the Department of Sanitation, Dr. Nagle will discuss how trash reveals how “green” we live.
