Three hundred years ago Danbury was a self-sustaining community
on the frontier of the Connecticut colony. Like other cities in this area, Danbury’s economy quickly evolved from agriculture to manufacturing and as a result significantly altered this land.
WSCU Archives & Special Collections
presents a panel discussion about Danbury's ecological history and
current environmental issues that are a legacy of that history,
including a discussion of the socio-political climate that influenced
decisions in the past and forces that may shape how Danbury moves into
the future.
