11/4/2012 - Storytelling Oboes

Sunday, November 4, 2012

2:00 PM -  3:00 PM
Farioly Program Room

Enjoy an oboe concert with Charles Huang, adjunct professor at The Hartt School and his wife and partner, Ling-Fei Kang. Entitled "Storytelling Oboes," the performance is based on music inspired by poems, folktales, folk songs, and fables from all over the world. The styles of the pieces range from classical, modern, and folk music from America, Asia and Brazil. Free.
We are a unique duo of oboe and English horn. Through the soulful, dulcet sound of our instruments, we create an intimate experience for our audience while sharing music and stories around the world. We arrange much of the music we play, and also commission new original works for our performances.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED online at danburylibrary.org,  or call 203-797-4527. For more information call 203-796-8061.
